As one of the most influential artist and art critics of the East Village scene, writing for the East Village Eye, and Art in America, it is an over due indulgence for local art lovers to be privileged with this exhibition by Walter Robinson. "Indulgences" presents small scale paintings and works on paper. Robinson's theme's, food and single or accompanied young women, are presented as objects of desire, yet without cynicism. There is an understated wholesomeness to many of these works that bespeaks their origins within an uncorrupted American Dream.
