Regretfully within days of the opening of this exhibition Hurricane Sandy swamped much of Chelsea, including Galeri Richard, causing its closure, and the re-installation of this exhibition in a temporary storage space. Fortunately, your humble reporter recorded this footage at the opening on October 25th 20112. The exhibition features the works of Bram Bogart, Ron Gorchov and Takesada Matsutani, three artists working on three different continents yet perusing similar goals. The works of both Bogart and Matsutani explore the use of unique painting materials while Gorchov develops a body of work questioning the basic concept of the rectangular flat picture plain.
