James Kalm pops in for a spontaneous video tour of "YES, NO (I love you tenderly, totally, tragically)" at the Y gallery, one of the innovative art venues on the revived Lower East Side. Yes, No might represent the binary code of sexual norms and roles that have evolved within contemporary society. Markley plays not only with the dialectical contrasts of the representation of sexuality, but the ambiguous middle ground where the "interesting" amalgams of behavior happen.
