Mike Ballou has been a presence and activist within the Williamsburg art scene for decades. Founding 4 Walls Project Space with Adam Simon and Michele Araujo in 1991, he's contributed to the formation and progressive nature of the Williamsburg community. Beginning with a performance in 1996, Ballou has crafted a series of animal heads, some wearable some not, and later, made table-top sculptures assembled from parts of animal toys. This is his first presentation of these works in several years. Includes a tour and discussion with the artist Mike Ballou.
