While wrapping up an evening's gallery tour on the Bowery, James Kalm stuck his head in at the HOLE. Seeing the "Wrecktangles" and not knowing exactly what they were, he decides to investigate. Assembled from dozens of snapped surfboards, the "Wrecktangles" bare a silent testament to the power of nature and combine the stickers, logos and personal tags of the hip surf kids who try to ride that force. Fletcher is a surfing legend, and these wall sculptures function as trophies of a valiant fight of the tides.
