The work of Greg Lindquist balances somewhere between the straight rendering of photographic imagery, and the conceptual quest of understanding what a painting is. Using various uncontrollable techniques like dripping, splatters and blotting Lindquist crafts pictures that are in dialog with contemporaries like Peter Doig, and Luc Tuymans but retain his personal frame of art historic references.
