ames Kalm has been a fan of Austin Thomas and her ongoing art space project Pocket Utopia for years. After a three year hiatus, the Pocket is once again open. Dropping in for the second exhibition at the New Pocket Utopia (191 Henry Street), your reporter ambushes artist Ellen Letcher and goads her into a spontaneous tour and discussion of her practice, techniques and aesthetics, including the influence of Robert Rauschenberg and "crap on crap". This program includes a musical intro by Eight Two.
