Circumcision, bris, brit milah, Covenant of Abraham...& out comes 8-day old Jacob Chai, son of Avigdor & Batsheva Eskin. Mazel tov!

Avigdor is an old friend of mine. Hadn't seen him in 30 years. At the time, until egos sparred, a fellow producer & I almost did a feature theatrical film ("The Eskin Tapes") on his daring anti-establishment life growing up in the former USSR. A high profile Soviet Refusenik, concert pianist, and later an Israeli dissident (see information below), my friend has been through the ringer and come out whole. True, he's left a little dust behind - like all of us acting out: "I have a dream."

Avigdor & I recently renewed ties via Facebook. Perhaps we'll still tell his story on film - and/or even something Bigger.
