"Data Trash" is a co-mingling of a couple of generations of media hackers who scrounge mass media imagery like the Borneo Cargo Cultists. Collecting material for it's fetishistic power as much as its formal qualities, these artists recontextualize content and produce a strange hybrid form that has little to do with its original source, and exists in a peripatetic realm of aesthetics.
